Printable activity sheets

Four one-page A4 sheets for crayons, pencils and little scissors. Each one is built around a story or a craft from India. Open a sheet, press print, and you are done.

Choose a sheet

How to print

  1. Open a sheet and press the Print this sheet button (or Ctrl/Cmd + P).
  2. Choose paper size A4 and scale 100%. Switch off headers and footers.
  3. Print in black and white or colour. Only the parts to colour have black outlines.

Every sheet fits on one page, so there is nothing to staple. Younger children may like a grown-up to read the words aloud.

Grown-ups: answers

Thirsty Crow counting

The pebble rows hold 4, 6 and 9 pebbles. The crow needs 10 pebbles and has dropped 6, so 4 more are needed.

Story order

The right order is: 1 the monkey shares fruit, 2 the crocodile carries the monkey, 3 the monkey says his heart is in the tree, 4 the monkey climbs the tree to safety. On the page the panels are shuffled, top left to bottom right, as 3, 1, 4, 2.

Moral match

The Thirsty Crow matches E (clever ideas), the Monkey and the Crocodile matches D (calm and quick), the Lion and the Clever Hare matches B (a smart plan), the Pigeons and the Net matches C (working together), and the Blue Jackal matches A (pretending never lasts).
